Blue screen

Impossible question really.

I was asked to look at someone's PC recently where there was no software module or driver mentioned in the blue screen.

It is a very basic system with just Office installed.

It is an Advent though......

I suggested maybe memory bad so change?

System restore back to when it did work, there will be a list of apps that weer installed in the calendar of system restore, then try reinstalling them one by one and rebooting between each one.

I thought of that but apart from the general windows updates (of which there were few) there were no apps installed since this started happening

Have you tried to boot into safe mode using F8.

If you can get into windows using safe mode it may point to a driver/software problem or at least you can look at the Event Viewer history.
