Blue Screen

Hi there all, I recently got a new build and constructed it.
I took the HDD out of my old machine and put it into the new one not changing the windows installation at all.
The computer boots up and starts to load windows and then goes to Blue screen and restarts.
I assume I have to format the HDD and do a fresh install of windows 7?

Yes. Sometimes you can be lucky and windows 7 "just works" but most times you'll need to reinstall. I assume you've got the retail version and not the oem version

I have the "upgrade" version, do I need to get a copy of the full version ?
It also gives me the option to "repair". But seeing as I am using a compleatly differnt motherboard, cpu, graphics card I assume that is not going to work.

Try repair.
