Hi there,

well recently my computer has been crashing whilst playing games and blue screening, mainly on black ops. I left it down to the game rather than my PC as i haven't installed any new hardware or software and it didn't have any problems before i got the game. Last night it blue screened again, after i rebooted it did it again, and now it won't stop blue screening. The error it gives is "BAD_POOL_CALLER".

Now i've googled this and most of the results returned say that it might be down to new software installed or hardware being faulty due to compatibility issues with the drivers, but i haven't updated any recently.

Someone else suggested that it might be a memory issue, but after booting in safe mode i ran a mem test which crashed after 0.4%. Which also crashed when i tried uninstalling Blackops in the add/remove programs menu, so i can't be sure its a memory problem.

I did a system restore to a restore point a few weeks before I installed blackops and it is still blue screening. I thought it could possibly be my graphics card but my mobo doesn't have a video port and I dont have a spare g-card to test otherwise. Would I have to buy another card just to test it?
My specifications are the same in my sig.

Can anybody shed some light?

Is your system overclocked, if yes try at stock.

On testing mem test was this bootable version?

Ok so i ran the bootable version of memtest and it passed 3 tests with no errors.

I also tested each stick of ram to see if it would boot but it still blue screened. I'm not sure whether reformatting completely or buying a new g-card may solve the problem, if it is the problem to begin with. Are there tests which can stress the graphics cards for instability?
