My PC had been sitting in the loft for a couple of months while I was at uni. Then mid november my parents brought it back down into my room as they were worried the cold may do something to it.
Since that happened, I've been getting bluescreens at startup. it Posts fine, and vista starts to load, with the loading bar, then it goes. It can take a couple of trys to get into Vista, but then it works fine. When I login, I get the 'Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown' box with details of the bluescreen.
I looked at the minidump file in windbg and apparently its 'Probably caused by : ecache.sys ( ecache+4a7a )'
Is there much I can do?
