Hi all hope all is well!

Go easy on me as i am a noob to all this lol :)

I was on 4g of DDR3 Corsair XMS3 Ram until today when i decided to buy another two sticks of 4gb ram to make 8gb, but once sticking the ram in the pc will be fine for 10-15 minutes until it decides to switch off.

I really will appreciate any help as i dont know where im going wrong :S the the new ram is the exact same and are identical. Im starting to wonder if it is the voltage due to adding more?

Once again i will appreciate any help!

System specs :
CPU: I5 760
gpu: Asus 570 direct cu ii
Memory: Corsair xsm3 8gb ddr3
Mobo: gigabyte h55m-ud2h
PSU: GS 700W
Cooler: Corsair H60

Is your system over clocked? If so then put it back to default and see if that stops it happening then you can re-apply the over clock slowly.

Thanks for getting back to me! Yes it was overclocked then i switched to default in bios, it then started to go onto blue screens within the first 15 mins. I then noticed the profile ddr ram voltage was 1.5v and then switched to 1.65. It is ok now but i dont know how long it will last for :(

well thanks all for the help i managed to fix it by doing a bios update amazingy enough it worked...I made sure the new ram worked as i took out the old ones and made sure the new ones work [which they do].

Also to mention and i know this may sound daft but i put the two sticks together and the two old ones together side by side...dont ask but it worked :D

Once again it worked and thanks!
