Not sure this is the right place for this so if it isn't sorry.

I was wondering if anyone could help me, recently my computer has been playing up quite a bit and by recently I mean the last few months.
I have random blue screens all stating different errors such as :

MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

There are others but these are the most recent two.

After some investigation on the internet and a memory testing program (MEMTEST86) I came to believe these problems may be ram related, I had 2 x 2 Gig sticks of Kingston ram, and replaced them with the 4 x 2 Gig Corsair Sticks listed in the spec below.

Replacing the ram did not resolve my issue so I then thought it could be my HD, so I replaced my old 300Gb Maxtor HD with a new 1Tb WD drive, did a clean install of Windows 7 64-Bit.

Again this did not resolve my issue, I have since tried running one stick of ram in different ports on the MB, one graphics card rather than two and still have not found the cause of the problem.

One of the things I find strange about this issue is that it appears to be corrupting files on my HD also, I play eve online and am unable to run the game as it says the client has become corrupted and the repair tool will not work, meaning once again I have to download the client.

Currently I am thinking its possibly my MB is faulty or the Processor which are the only two things left..... neither of which I can easily replace / test.

I have update my MB bios to the latest version and have update all Nvidia drivers from the Nvidia site.

My Specs are as follows:

Processor : Intel Core 2 Quad Q945 @ 2.66Ghz (Never been overclocked)

Motherboard : EVGA nForce 780i Sli

Ram : Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 XMS2 PC2-8500C5 TwinX Dual Channel (Currently have 4 x 2Gig Sticks Installed)

Graphics : EVGA GeForce 8800GT x2 in SLi

I know dmp files may be needed and I have the last 5-6 of these but cannot see anywhere to upload them on the forum, I maybe able to view them and post the info contained if required.

Thanks a lot for any help with this...I've tried other tech support forums but none of them have any more ideas that what I have already tried. I would be blaming the eve online game but the computer can also blue screen while sitting idle.

Definitely sound like memory issues don't they.

What about memory faults in the cache within the CPU? Does this ever happen and would it create errors like this? I've no idea.

That particular fault doesn't always point to bad RAM. It's another less than helpful generic error message. I was experiencing the same issues on my previous rig and turned out to be a graphics card on the way out. I also saw HDD corruption not long before the graphics card actually gave up the ghost. Again, this was also with an Nvidia chipset mobo (790i Ultra). Oddly enough it was a 9800 GX2 which is basically 2x 8800 in SLI. This series of GPU is notorious for high failure rate. I'd try running each of your cards individually and see if the problem persists. With BSODs indicating a fault in memory and data corruption the last thing I considered at the time was the GPU so I can understand your frustration at this stage. The same motherboard is also now happily powering a friend's computer. You can d/l free error dump readers from the web.

Thanks for the replies, I'll give the graphics another go by running the second card solo, see if it blue screens, I'll then repeat using what is currently my primary card.

I got the same errors, reinstalled the OS and it was fine.
But those errors can be software or hardware, especially if theres lots of different ones. Mine was just and error in the DLLs or something like that I suppose.

And another blue screen but this time a different error:

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

Can anyone suggest a good program to look at the dmp files, I dl'd the one from Microsoft but I get errors about characters when trying to view the logs.

Thanks,

Rick

Memory was only fitted a couple months ago in an attempt to resolve this issue, at the same time I bought some compressed air and cleaned the entire case and all heatsinks.

Thanks for the reply.
