Jaffa_Cake is right, it doesn't even appear to exist on the FSP website, do you maybe mean the 500w? If so it is a decent enough PSU by all accounts but if you can stretch to £70 or so the Corsair HX 520w is what I'd suggest.

I've got the 500w(peak) version, its holding on really well,(conroe build with x1600) so my PC doesnt draw much power.
my point is, don't take my words.

sorry I did to a typo! i meant the 500W...

Well I have one, I paid aprox £45 for it, however I was getting lockup randomly.

I have uplugged one of my DVD drives and all seems hunky! maybe its struggling

i have the 500w powering a 8800gts, doesnt seem so bad. if you've unplugged the dvd drive and it works, maybe the dvd drive is the problem?

So unplug some other non-essential things but plug the dvd drive back in...

If the problem comes back, unplug some more non-essential things leaving the dvd drive in. If problem still persists then look at trying new cables on the dvd drive or at worst replacing it or testing it in another system to replicate the problem.
