Hey all,

My sisters laptop keeps bluescreening and am not sure why :(
It has 'slow moments' where everything grinds to a halt and then slowy picks itself up again. I have tried reinstalling XP twice and that never helped. All help would be appreciated! More detailed bluescreen below

Here is a quick link for you - http://www.osronline.com/ddkx/ddtools/bccodes_2vjb.htm

Do the following

1) Confirm that paging file is not too small for the amount of installed memory
2) run chkdsk /f /r to repair bad blocks in paging file (requires reboot)
3) check/replace SCSI cables and termination
4) check seating of memory and other boards
5) update firmware, service pack, and drivers

Ive known people to have this before, its normally the hard drive on its way out or a problem with RAm but can be little things aswell. hope this helps

when my laptop did it. the heatpipes and fan was all clogged up just unscrew the back pull all the fluff out and away you go.

ok, to access the fan you need to take the whole case apart (stupid design :() so i have swapped the hard drive with a spare i have found. I also did a memory test and it turned out ok. thanks for your help, lets hope this works!
