Hey guys

I have a bluescreen problem. The PC was on all night cos I was downloading something. When I restarted it in the morning it got stuck before the POST. It stayed at the Asus express gate screen. When i cut the PSU power completely and restarted i could log in for 2 seconds and I would get a bluescreen. The Safe Mode works so I guess it might not be a hardware problem after all. I tested the memory with MemTest and it passed. Testing the HDD now. What should I do next? Viruses?

EDIT: The HDD is fine just tested it. This means it's probably a software issue :/

EDIT2: I can only get as far as the logging in screen at which point the BS comes up. If you can identify the type of BS for me I can probably get on with it myself.

EDIT3: Viruses? I'm off to do a scan in Safe Mode with AVG, Spybot and Malwarebytes. Anything else before I leave it overnight?

Ok biasicly it shows the BS even BEFORE I log on. i tried disabling all the startup items in MSconfig but obviously that is useless in this case - BS still appears. Also I can't access the Event Viewer in Safe mode. What now? Corrupt system? Formatting?

"Insufficent system resources exist to complete the requested service" - I get that when opening nearly everything. Can;t even check the %SystemRoot%\Minidump because of it.

Too much hassle I think i will backup and reinstall. Thanks anyway :)
