Hi all,
Still enjoying my new OCuk system however the GPU (Sapphire HD 7970) does not seem to work well with Google chrome, randomly Google chrome will start to lag then my computer will freeze, BSOD and the following info is displayed after reboot.
BSOD message : Attempt to reset display driver and recover from time-out.
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID:
Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 116
BCP1: FFFFFA8016C09010
BCP2: FFFFF88004C45AE4
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: 000000000000000D
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1
I have done the following:
1. Several clean installs of windows.
1. Several clean installs of windows on different HDD's.
2. A clean install of the GPU drivers with and without CCC.
3. Disabled the HD 3000.
4. Enabled HD 3000 updated the drivers.
5. Updated the chip set drivers of the motherboard.
6. SSD has the latest firmware (BSOD happened before and after)
Even after all of this the system still randomly BSOD.
System is:
i7 2700k@stock
HD 7970@stock (bought from another retailer)
16 GB G.Skill
Asus P8Z68-v Gen/3 (latest bios)
Crucial M4 256 (Latest firmware)
2TB WD.
This happened with 12.2/12.3 and 12.4 beta drivers.
So next stop l guess is to throw in the GPU that came with the bundle and see if l can't narrow it down a little.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.
C.
