Whenever I play a console game on the PC i like to do it on the TV, but then if say a mate wants to play DOTA or w.e and I switch back to the monitor/desk, unplugging the HDMI causes my PC to bluescreen. Is this normal/avoidable? I can just shut it down and do it while it's powered down but I was wondering if any of you fine gents/ladies knew a setting or whatever you can fiddle with to stop the PC derping when the HDMI lead to the TV is taken out.
Cheers.
PS: If anyone is interested in an internet cookie I have a pretty big issue with Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition on the TV. I can play it fullscreen on the PC @1080p and it's fine, but on the TV I have to either play at 720p or 1080p windowed, whenever I try and play it fullscreen @1080p on the big screen it crashes and throws up 'fatal error target=somethingorother blah blah failed' in a little windows box, doubt anyone knows what could cause that but it's worth the ask
Cheers.
