bluetooth audio with a VR headset, why is the delay not dealt with ?

As it's a widely known inherent problem with the technology, isn't it technically pretty easy to output the audio xmS ahead of the video when a bluetooth device is connected ? I imagine each bluetooth device results in different delays depending on the processing being done, so possibly allow the user to set how much delay is inserted.

Given the amount of engineering time that, for example Meta, puts into designing VR headsets, it would be surprising to think that bluetooth delay has not been considered.

So perhaps there is more to it than it seems ?

To do that you would need to delay the video signal, something that you really do not want in VR, motion to photon latency needs to be as low as possible.

Ah, yes I was totally forgetting that the video updates based on user movement, unlike a streaming device where the fact the video is 50-100mS later doesn't make a damn bit of difference.

Just forget I said anything !
