Bluetooth Dongle - Sound Needs To Wake?

I recently got some new Bose QC35 ii in the eBay sale, so then bought a Bluetooth dongle, so save me needing the cable to my PC when I'm gaming.

All is (eventually) working fine, but when I'm playing PUBG, it's like they shut down to conserve power or something and when I open up with an automatic rifle, I don't hear the first few shots.

Is there anything I can do? Is it some kind of USB power save mode?

Thanks for any help :)

I don't think so, I feel I would notice if there was lag.

In device manager, I have unticked 'Allow PC to turn off this device to save power' to see if that makes any difference.

I think the power setting helped, but I did then realise there is a slight lag, maybe a third of a second, but enough for me to go back to wired.

What is likely to be the cause of the lag? The PC, the dongle or the headphone? Or it just can't be helped with BT?

This is what I was a little worried about with wireless headphones.

Could be the dongle you are using. Definitely worth trying a different one.
