I bought some cheap £20 wireless earbuds (yineme true workout) thinking I could live with fairly poor sound quality just while I'm working out....but I did not think it would be that bad.
The bit crushing going on is insane and they can't cope with anything, especially anything with a large dynamic range like orchestral stuff. Cymbals sound awful on any track which is a clear sign of terrible Bluetooth streaming quality. I've tried them on three different devices and all are the same.
My question is, are all the cheap sub £40 Chinese earphones like this? There are a never ending amount of different brands/types to buy soniys a minefield. Obviously they all have millions of 5 star reviews from people saying the quality is great, but they likely have no idea what good sound quality is. So has anyone who is a semi-audiophile had any luck with any of them?
If not, what would be the best sports earbuds ( would like ones with an ear hook) to buy for sub £75ish (if possible)?
I'm not expecting astonshing quality for the money, but at least a fairly clear and uncrushed sound.
