Hi all

I've just got a new tablet and it doesn't have a stereo socket *rage* so I was after some recommendations for good bluetooth earphones, please.

Budget flexible.

Thanks.

I use a pair of Bose QC35ii not the cheapest when I purchased them but sound & comfort is excellent.

You can pick them up second hand now for sub £200

Just to clarify, do you want earphones or headphones as posted above?

If you're happy to spend the money then by all accounts the Sony WH-1000XM3 (over ear) or WF-1000XM3 (In ear) are superb.

Otherwise if they're too much it's worth mentioning an upper limit :)

I have been using Jaybird's for the last few years. They sound terrific and that's all that matters really but the quality is amazing. About £90 for the X4 which has an 8 hour battery life.

Headphones - Bose QC35ii for comfort or Sony WH-1000XM3 for audio. Noise cancelling makes things like Flights so much better.

Earphones - no idea.

I went with the QC35ii and wore them for most of a 10 hour flight recently, much to the wifes annoyance :D

As others have said, the WH-1000XM3 are excellent.

If you're looking for earphones then the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 are a great set. Made by a well known British audio specialist, nine hours of charge on a single charge, plus an additional 36 hours provided by the charging case, they charge up to full in about half an hour, they're IP5X rated and have bluetooth 5.0. The only downsides are that the case doesn't support wireless charging, plus it doesn't use USB-C for charging, and they don't have ANC, just relying on the noise isolation provided by the fit of the earphones. Personally I think they're great though.

I have the WF-1000XM3 and I love them. They're not as quick pairing as the airpods were but the SQ is fantastic

I've just bought some of these from Richer Sounds and so far I'm impressed.

Sent mine back overrated and overpriced but knew the latter before buying.

Not sure if true the 2nd last Firmware ruined the NC (mine came on one said to cause this then I got new update a few weeks later) but for me it was disappointing and they shaped the music also, few other things also but I have moved on.
