Bluetooth Headphones Problem

I have just bought a pair of Sony ULT Power Sound headphones but I cannot get them to work on my PC. I get them to pair and a couple of devices appear in the Sound, Playback tab. I get sound for approx. 10 seconds and then nothing and the two devices grey out and I can't reconnect them. I've been trying for hours to get this sorted but I'm at my wits end. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorted it. I had a feeling it might have been due to my 15-20 year old Belkin Bluetooth adaptor so I bought a new tp-link one from Amazon and that seems to have cured it.
