Hi,

New to pc gaming and just bought this:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/refract-gaming-celeste-1080p-1440p-pre-built-gaming-pc-fs-1dh-ep.html

I'm having issues connecting various Bluetooth devices. One being Xbox series s/x controller. It's just not showing up as discoverable for pairing. It's a brand new controller.

Anyone got any ideas? Also having problems connecting any of my headphones. Same issue.

Everything is is pairing mode and charged etc.

Pilling my hair out hear .. any help appreciated.

Cheers

Sam

Check the BT driver is installed, should be Intel or Realtek etc, not listed as "Generic"

Open Device Manager
Expand the Bluetooth category and checl the installed devices.

Is the antenna plugged in, on my ASUS B650 the WiFi and BT antenna are the same and BT range is greatly reduced without the antenna. I only realised this when I disconnected the antenna after I disable WiFi.

Hi,

I only got a WiFi antenna with the pre build to put in externally.

The system is picking up some Bluetooth devices. TV's, radios etc.

I was assuming the Bluetooth antenna is internal somewhere? There is no obvious place to plug in the back of the machine.

Bluetooth is showing "generic Bluetooth adaptor"

Thanks again.

Sam

Thanks for the update.

Make sure you leave feedback so OCUK don't miss the driver for other customers. One of the main reasons for buying a pre-build with a pre-installed OS it not to have to deal with drivers.

Hi everyone. Just made an account to post this. Bought a new pre built gaming PC from Overclockers and had the same issue. Thank you everyone on this post for the help. I would have been lost without it. It was the only thing that would work for me after watching countless YouTube tutorials on how to get Bluetooth working.

Had to go to my motherboards website and download the Realtek Bluetooth driver.
