Ok Going to buy a Bluetooth speaker for the bathroom

How do I stream mp3 files from my server over wifi from my s2 and play them?

Thanks!

Would that not depend on the speaker itself? Surely the instructions will tell you how to do it. I would have thought that you just connect it like a BT headset and the phone will use the speaker instead of the phone speaker i.e. the phone won't know it's an actual speaker, it's just fling the data over the BT whch the speaker is playing..... After that, it's just a matter of using the phone to stream from your server in the same manner you are doing just now.

I use a Sandstrom A2DP bluetooth adapter connected to an old amp in the loft, and some Polk speakers in the ceiling. Works really well and I created an Android app to control the amp via an Arduino with an infrared LED.

How much are Bluetooth speakers? How about a WiFi unit and cut out the middle man of the phone? I've got a squeezebox and its great.

Really liking the look of that, some cracking reviews too

Yeah looks great for the bathroom

Just fancy some led zepp in the morning....All I need now is a way to stream from my server to my phone....I dont want to play the music locally on the phone as I'm to lazy to keep copying new stuff etc....My kids are bored of Tom Petty and the heartbreakers in my car lol

There are different ways of streaming it, use ES file explorer and play via a network share or using DLNA with BubbleUPNP. Those are just a couple of ways.
