Kitsound hive is the one I have. Does a decent size room very well for not a lot of money.

It's a minefield. There's so much choice.

There's a huge choice of cheaper ones, if you just wanted something to use on the odd occasion. Probably many more around the £50 mark than there are around the £100 mark. If you are looking for something to use more than once and want good sound quality, then around £100 will buy a much better one than the cheap offerings available.

Cambridge Audio Go, is worth considering. £50 cheaper than the Bose, but it's a very good performer. That's probably the one I'd go for if I was looking for a quality portable Bluetooth speaker. Sony X55 looks good too, although not much cheaper than the Bose.

Yea was looking at the SONY SRS-X33W that seems to get ok reviews also. I will be using it on the odd occasion but £100 will be fine. I want something decent. But £160 it to much for the use it be getting if i was to spend that much id be wanting to use it every day LOLOL

get the bose sound link mini. i cannot rate it high enough, and i have version 1. v2 has some minor improvements.

I bought mine as I wanted something to bung in the van and pull out whilst on hols etc. It ended up replacing my stack system. The ease & portability with decent sound is a great combo. Being able to have sound that can literally follow me from room to room, for example listening to it whilst showering, cooking, in the computer room, wherever.

& with the right placement, this sounds amazing for it's size.
