Bluetooth & Wifi in Same Adapter

Hey all,

I need to get a Bluetooth adapter for my PC - the wifi connection to the room is pretty bad. Totally not related to each other

However! I found that you can get adapters that give you a Bluetooth connection and a wifi connection at the same time.

Does anyone have any experience with these adapters? Any issues with having them both on the same adapter or having adapters close to each other? I've read a few reviews that say having a Bluetooth and a wifi adapter close together can cause problems.

Does it have to be USB, PCIe or MSata/M.2?

MSATA and M.2 cards (Including the PCIe which is just a MSATA or M.2 on a Adapter board) Generally come together. I have never heard of issues with Bluetooth and wifi on the same chip to be problematic? As a matter of fact that's how they have been made for laptops for years!

Do a search for Intel WirelessAC 7260 PCIe.. I have installed plenty of those and the WirelessAC7260 MSATA modules in Laptops both running wifi and BT.

It's the same frequency as 2.4 GHz wifi so there's potential for interference.

Also apparently USB 3 doesn't play nicely https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth#Interference_caused_by_USB_3.0

Hmm you've got me thinking now - maybe I'll be better off going for a PCI card as opposed to adapters - I've heard about USB 3 being a problem...

Any recommendations?
