Blueyonder/Telewest speed upgrades

If anything, the inverse is the case, NTL/TW having to work hard to get beyond having <25% of people in their areas using their services.

Then again, going by some reports, the wonderful 10Mbps service isn't all smooth either.

Its odd, ive never had a problem since the upgrade in mid october, not a single hiccup. But then even before then, ive only ever had one problem in 2 and a bit years of BY service. :)

just been on the phone to blueyonder about the upgrades and was told that Walsall is due to be done before the end of january

something is not right there^
that was hapening to me on TW until i got my free upgrade to 4mb!
Now im on 450 but only on decent servers like TW FTP lol :S

Might I suggest, given the topic for this thread centres around BY/TW, that discussion about BT's taken to another thread, given this thread's already at 18 pages of mostly-crap.

Err, weird things are afoot here.

The office has a 1024/128 Telewest cable modem connection, but the modem rebooted at about 10am today and I now appear to be able to upload at around 185kbps.

This is obviously not the long-awaited upgrade but something has definitely changed. Either it's a mistake or Telewest are doing some experimenting on the network around here. Anyone else had a similar change today?

Ah at last. My net has been horrendous for the last couple of days. Hopefully after a week they will have ironed out all the bugs and speeds will settle down.

The DL speeds are up and down like a skippy on a trampoline at the moment, I think I will try again in the early hours when the network isn't as busy. At the moment it is getting hammered with everyone trying out there new speeds.
