Blueyonder/Telewest speed upgrades

Having the same problems here, my area still has "TBA" on their upgrade list. (Im in Yorkshire).

I upgraded to 4mb a few weeks ago from 2mb and download speeds have only gone up by around an extra 25kbs as opposed to doubling!

I've jsut about given up on Blueyonder, if it wasnt such a pain to move to BT for broadband and SKY for my TV I would have jumped ship a long time ago.

Still my broadband is free this month becasue they cant supply me with a decent conenction.

Will this be why my Blueyonder has slowed down a lot in the last week or so? I heard somewhere that areas were suffering slowdowns during the upgrade process...
 
According to their list there wil be disruption up to the 15th March, thats means the upgrades wont be complete until the end of March at least.

So much for everything being finished by January.

I wouldn't mind but my net is cutting out every other night and im still paying £25 a month.
 
To make all of you still waiting for your upgrade feel better - we were upgraded in Scotalnd in early November, but its been a shambles. I'm now on a 4mb connection which fails to meet 4mb on every test I run and returns pings in CSS/COD2/BF2 to UK servers of ~200 come 5pm every evening. I'd say be thankful you havent been 'upgraded' yet.

sick of waitng for 10mb in birmingham moving to ukonline 22mb for £29 per month have been told i will get 15.5 mb not bad by blueyonder
 
Mate, where in Birmingham do you live? I live in Bearwood and when I type in my postcode it says it's not available in my area.......

I would move to UKOnline in a second.

22mbps down, 1mbps up for £29 a month yes please.
 
Waiting for upgrade to Solihull exchange here and Ill be gone to bethere in a flash...im wihtin a a mile from the exchange!
 
Well just a few days ago I was told by a Telewest operater that Walsall AND everywhere would be done by end of Feb!
Looking like a load of bull now though!!!

Sorry didn't mean to confuse you but we were talking about the ADSL exchange at Solihull being upgraded to support up to 24 mbit - not about TY and their rather prolonged speed upgrades!
