Blueyonder/Telewest speed upgrades

Well ever since ive been upgraded to 10mb i cant watch a video stream online because it buffers all the time?!?
And when i spoke to them they said in my area its a very busy connection and they are going to try and repair it. But they dont know when it will be done and its been like this since just after xmas!
im thinking of ditching telewest and going to bulldog for £15 a month cheaper! and ive been with blueyonder for about 7 years! :(

Had the same problem here  have been with them for about 6 years and what used to be a fantastic service i would recomend to anybody ......"not anymore " :(
Many phone calls with out any joy
Was begining to think i had dial-up again with the pings i was getting
And as for the customer services .... its pants :(

It's not really an excuse but from having worked in Customer Care I know that we just aren't told this info.

Only way I found out about it was because my own Blueyonder connection was playing up.

I've noticed the difference now that the sheffield area has been upgraded but the speed lift has not occured yet. I'm getting much better pings in things like CS:Source and don't get any lag spikes.

Not sure whether I prefer the lack of lag or the more bandwidth.

I still hope the yorkshire reigon is still for the end of march dat, they still havent updated the maintinence coloum, hopfully there not behind schedule :( :(

I'm on Blueyonder 4meg in Brum, It says speed uplift to be completed by the end of this month which gives them..... a few days.

I highly doubt it will happen though, I wouldn't be suprised if it isn't upgraded until May, we've been waiting so long and lately, the speed throughput has been below terrible in my area, I'm on 4meg and I'm getting no better than 2meg at the best of times, usually around 800kbps and the pings are all over.

It's a shame because I've been with them since 2000 and have until last year never had any reliability issues at all.

Luckily BE broadband are installing their adsl2+ equipment in my dsl exchange and I'm about 250m away, so 20mbps here I come :D

hmmm Newton abbot area here(devon) and noticed today I am downloading @ 630kb

should be 10mb so think i am a bit short :(

Your paying for a contended service, so no your not short really.

Be grateful you are downloading at 630kb/sec - many people cannot get 256k (25kB/sec) adsl yet alone 630kB/sec.
