Hi all,
Just a heads up for anyone wanting to put their bluray collection into itunes
MakeMKV > Subler > iTunes
Seems to work very well. You can keep uncompressed video and audio (dts-ma etc etc) and have other audio tracks like dts / ac3 / aac for full compatiblity with idevices. Subler also imports the metadata straight from apple so your imports looks just like you bought them from itunes.
I've also done some 3d blurays which seems to keep the 3d mvc track (at least media info reports the multiview setting). Obviously itunes doesn't understand it, but its there so you can play it with something like a med8ter.
The resulting video files are fully understood through os x. You can play through finder etc etc
Just thought id post for anyone who doesnt want to spend hours encoding with handbrake
