Couple of quick questions.
Firstly can ALL bluray players, regardless of actual region play region free disks?
I am assuming so but need to check.

Secondly, can anyone suggest anywhere to get a Region 1 (USA) player and disks?
Importing is fine, just not sure of sites to look at.

Thanks
Andrew

To be honest not that many disks are region locked these days.

There isn't any need TBH. The Hollywood studios did this to DVD in order to attempt prevention of DVD's of film releases being seen at the same time as Cinema releases back in late 90's (I managed to buy Galaxy Quest on Region 1 DVD the same time as it was being shown in the Cinemas here, just as an example) Film releases nowadays tend to be within a few days (couple of weeks max) around the world & the same for DVD/Blu-ray releases too.

Only reason for multi region blu-ray (for me anyway) would be if I wanted a back catalogue title that would only be available in the other two blu-ray regions. According to blu-ray.com, 2/3'rds of blu-rays are region free anyway, so there isn't going to be that much demand for a region free blu-ray player from most people IMO. I might have wanted a region free blu-ray player years ago but not now, I'm quite happy to wait for a blu-ray release here. :)

There are still some exceptions, for example Finding Nemo 3D has been available in the US for around a month on Blu-Ray, the UK isn't even getting a cinema release until March I believe which means we won't get the Blu-Ray until Summer, I've imported for that very reason.

Thanks for the replies.
Had a bit more of a dig and it does seem that at the least most seem to be Region A and B so should be OK.
As noted there are a few titles that have better or cheaper releases in the US that I had looked at.
Should have checked out blu-ray.com sooner:p
