Bluring/merging images in Photoshop

I have 4 images i want to combine into one image, the image is 1024 x 256.

What is the easiest way to align the images horizontally and blur/merge each of the edges together?

if you're meaning in a panoramic style 4 photos as one then assuming there is a decent overlap in the 4 images you could use Microsoft ICE to combine them.

It is 4 local landmarks if that helps!

Just the Crewe sign so I can add some text under it without covering the Bentley sign, if that makes sense!
