Blurred screen

Hi Everyone

I have a Dell E173FP. It works perfect on one machine, but when i connect it to another, there is a slight blurring/shadowing of desktop icons and text.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what i could try?

Sounds like Clear Type is switched on - switch it off

If you're using the Analogue input try the auto adjust button

I've turned clear type off, but no change. Where is the auto adjust button?

It depends on the monitor - it should be one of the buttons at the base of the screen

That wouldn't cause shadows on desktop icons though. Shadows on desktop icons is usually caused by poor quality VGA cables, usually when ones that are only suited to res's up to 1024*768 are run at higher res's. Are you using the same VGA cable on both PCs? Also are you using the same resolution and refresh rate?

If its fine on one machine but blurred on another, the first thing I would check is the cables and graphic card.
