I connected my laptop to an external monitor so i have two screens to work with, but the image on the second screen is slightly blurry, especially the icons and text. the monitor is an asus VX24AH. Does anyone know why this could be the issue?
It is set to 2560x1440 but the screen just looks a little blurry, when i am close to the monitor i can see the pixels. maybe im just used to my 4k 17inch laptop screen?. I am going to test a couple of games on it to see how it looks and if its not up to par im just gonna get the dell u2515h or w/e its called.
Still sounds like it's not displaying at the correct resolution even if you've set it. Your output on the laptop may not support it even though the option is there.
I remember older gen onboard graphics showing you could select any resolution even if the monitor didn't support it.
My laptop has a GTX 1070 inside it so i don't see why it wouldn't support it, but then again i did have a 27 inch 1440p monitor connected to this laptop and that did look a little bit off as well (but that was via displayport to mini dp). maybe ill contact evga about it
