Can't comment on that particular one but I recently bought a modded OBD USB cable with INPA/Ebidas, GT1 etc which work very well.

The chap I bought from puts it all together as a pack (obviously, you can get the software elsewhere) with decent instructions for the same price. There is also the benefit of a forum for techinal queries which is very useful.

He custom made them (very good quality) and loads of M3 owners bought the cables. Let me know if you need the details.

it'll talk to the DME but wont communicate with any other modules...

this article seems to indicate pins 7 and 8 should be bridged. i took the head end of my cable apart and they dont appear to be.

yep. tried it both ignition on and with engine running. no dice. DME reads ok, i even get live data, but thats it. No airbag, no PDC (i have PDC), no any of the others i dont know the meaning of.

can anyone pop the back off the OBD part of the cable? i'm not convinced mine is wired right.
