BMW windscreen, how much !

Friend has had a quote for a new windscreen from Autoglass for a 2009 320 D coupe £850 , anyone had any experience of replacing a windscreen outside insurance.

Yes it's not covered, I think it's under a traders policy.

He has loads of cars / bikes / 4x4's and sells a few so has a blanket traders policy for all.

Look it's not covered and he is going to have to pay for it.

Yes he is using his contacts to try and find one cheaper, maybe I should have known better than to ask here for some help and the inevitable ending up with a discussion on his insurance policy and what he should have done.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, has anyone got anything useful to add?
