BMW X5 Brake pad warning light

Ok so ive just had all four brake pads replaced by my local mechanic, a huge saving from BMW direct I might add too as you would expect! the warning light is still on, does any body know how I can reset this manually? Its the 2004 LCI version E53 sport 3.0i -- Cheers!

Were the wear pad sensors replaced with the new pads?.

Take it back to the mechanic and complain. This is part of the job and he hasn't bothered to do it properly.

He isn't a BMW mechanic presumably op should have done his homework and instructed mech to change the sensors or whatever needed to be done

I was gonna say as well.. make sure he's actually put new sensors in too.

Probably cut the plugs off and twisted the wires together. ****!
