Just before I depart on holiday, I thought I;d share a few links. I get Speedhunters RSS alerts and they have been rather BMW biased as of late. I can't say I've read all the words, I probably won't understand most of them... but there's lots of pretty pictures :)

There's quite a few more on the site, but I think I grabbed the best of the best and worse of the worst (if that is your opinion). I remember a time when BMWs were out of reach for many people, now most people my age drive or below drive E36s of some guise. Maybe I'll see what the fuss is about someday.

2nd one down, E46, is everything about the type of 'new' owners I feared.

Complete morons, who used to chav around in E36s and can now afford to ruin E46s.

:(

This is nothing like that at all. Please, get a clue.

exactly... i've noticed on ocuk that everything that's been modified is chaved up or ruined in any other way.. i don't think it looks bad it looks like it's been used and it does have it's own kind of "style" which i like..

Yup, mine being lowered on £500 worth of adjustables "ruined it" in the opinion of a few friends/workmates. Say nothing of the fact that the handling is awesome!

4th link down said:
The stock 1.8 liter engine felt down and the tuners swapped here an S50B30 engine from an E46 M3

Er, no, they didn't, as the S50 was never used in the E46.

Credability of site = fail.

Yes, it's a definate. It was used in three flavours, S50B30, S50B30US and S50B32. These were found in the e36 M3 and M cars (coupe and convertible) based on the Z3 platform.

The US did have a different state of tune S54B32 in their E46 M3, but it was still an S54.

I'm more of a fan of the understated sleepers:

I just want to have an E46 Sport coupe forever and do it up nicely , I would imagine nicely kept E46 coupes cars will have the same look that well kept previous coupes do today as well.
But I want the new gadgets!

Boo.

I'm the same as you mrk in a way, I'd love an old coupe like a Datsun GTR but with the interior refinements of say a New GTR.

Om nom nom nom....

I have that Datsun GTR...in NFS Shift!

I do really like the E93 hard top cars though, all windows down with huge open gap looks amazing, the low rear boot line looks way nicer than the normal coupe too where the top creases in.

Nice.
