Hi Guys,

Recently I have been getting crashes on BO3, sometimes it will crash with Blackops3.exe has stopped working and sometimes it will give me the message "R_createtexture2DEx Failed:Error: 0x887A0005 = DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED"??

Anybody have any ideas of what could cause this. I am currently running two 7950's on the latest driver (15.11.1).

Thanks,
Tom

You're not the only one many have had crashes for unknown reasons, i have noticed a fair few gamers having issues with this game with some very high end gaming computers, it's difficult to know exactly why and how to remedy it, i decided to give this game a go and had no crashes but i did have the game freeze and completely lock up on me on and had to restart the sodding computer. I can not work out why this game requires so much system memory and high usage of the graphics card memory/vram, this game looks average at best or even cartoony at times and the textures are mediocre, i'm sorry i can't help you but this is another pc game that has had no real quality testing imho. Future Patches might improve on this title but i wouldn't hold out too long with any real hope it gets 'fixed', there might be a memory leak or just poor game coding or a mixture of both, it is annoying. have you tried the official activision support website or forums? all i can think of is to lower all graphics settings or just set it to default and work your way up, make sure your graphics control panel is set to factory default, install new drivers or previous drivers, i don't think 8gb of system ram is enough i have seen my system ram usage near close to 8GB and my graphics card vram using just over 4GB, plus i got the gtx 970 with 3.5GB +0.5GB of slow vram which is probably the cause of stuttering even with nvidia gsync tech :D, servers are a lag fest for some, it's hit and miss.

Yeah cheers for the reply mate, I have seen a few others having similar issues. I have tryed doing a few things but will carry on to see if I can stop it. Disabling crossfire has seemed to stabilize it but it still does crash.

Sorted it!
If anyone else is having this issue, turn your graphic settings down and limit the FPS between 60-90. I reset the settings to default and locked the frames! ;)
