Will an E6600 2.4 work in a AsrockP43DE, & for that matter is that board any good? If not can anyone recommend a good board for around £50-£60, that will & also run 1066 mem.

Abit does not build motherboards anymore. In fact there was a rumour that they were in liquidation a couple of weeks ago. In any case, after the first 12 months are up you will have no warranty if the board fails. First 12 months is with the retailer. Personally i would steer well clear of any Abit components. No more bios updates either.

Have a look around for a Gigabyte EP31 DS3L. Fantastic board and overclocks very well. Can be had for around £50. Gigabyte P35 boards can be had cheap too if you know where to look.

Sorry, should have said about warranty situation, just that there has been so many posts about this.
I recommended the Abit purely on personal use, Got my E6600 to 3.6, and now my E8400 to 4ghz.
