I'm planning on building a file server and I'm just in the process of picking a decent motherboard.
I need something that's got a minimum of six sata ports for connecting all of my drives or else I'll have to be buying up extra sata controller cards.
I'm not worried about having on-board raid as I'm planning on implementing software raid using Solaris (raidZ2).
Any suggestions for a board that's more concerned with connecting devices and being stable, rather than having 800 graphics cards?
Any advice would be super.
