Now i know people on here love all things electronic when it comes to gaming but seen as there is a tabletop section i thought i would seize the opportunity to tell you a little about an exciting idea and ask you to spend a few minutes taking our survey.

We are hoping to open a board game cafe (BGC) in the UK, most likely at the moment is Bristol, and would love to get your opinions on the idea.

The BGC would have a library of over 1000 games to play from traditional e.g. Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit right the way through to strategies like Agricola and Twilight Struggle and everything in between. One of the key components would be "game gurus" there to help guide you through the process of discovering, selecting and learning the rules to these fantastic games.

Of course the BGC would also have great food and drink a lively and friendly atmosphere as well as a comfortable and appealing environment in which to play the games and enjoy the F&D.

We think it seems like the perfect antidote to the same old entertainment of either the pub, cinema or TV but what do you peeps think?

Please let us know by taking this short survey:

Thanks so much in advance! :):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Thank you to the both of you for taking the survey, all responses are very much welcome wherever you live!

I am just hoping to bump this a little bit so that we can get to 200 responses. We currently sit at 140 so if any of you can take it or share it with others then that would be a huge bonus. Many thanks!

I'd certainly be interested in such a place if we had a local one. Would be an excuse to go out rather than stay in to play two player games when we don't have a group night sorted.

I've got one closer to me than Bristol (Rules of Play in Cardiff) but I know quite a few role players in Bristol that would be interested.
Filled it out anyway, hope it takes off

Done.

I live near-ish to Bristol, and visit there regularly, not sure I'd end up going to a gaming cafe though, I play games twice as week on a regular basis at friends houses, and once a month at another friends house in Bristol. I guess the interesting point would be the library, using it to either try out games (which would imply it was regularly updated) or for the odd occasion where I want to play a game that I enjoy but wouldn't buy for whatever reason (maybe something like Talisman with all the expansions, where at the moment that's quite a large expenditure in one go)

Sometimes I feel I'm the only person that loves Talisman!

I've only played it once, and then just to "last man standing" rather than getting a new character and playing to the end, it was interesting enough that I want to sit down and play it properly though, just need the time (and the game, but might be able to borrow that :p)
