4-6? Mysterium or Not Alone. Both are pretty simple, run to about 40 minutes and have a 1-to-many asymmetry. Which one you prefer depends on whether you favour being a ghost trying to explain how they died through the medium of art or an alien creature trying to destroy the pesky scientists who crashed on its planet. I say "you" because as the game's owner you tend to play the odd one out.
We've ordered Camel Up.
How easy is it to learn the rules for this? Can we just break it out at the pub and jump into it? Or should 1 of us do some reading before hand?
Super easy to learn but there is a little construction involved too!
There is a cardboard pyramid to construct (thick, easy to assemble) and possibly some tokens to punch iirc!
Beyond that the game itself is simple:
You are wealthy nobles betting on a Camel Race. On your turn you have 4 options:
Place a bet on a race winner/loser
Place a bet on winner of current round
Place a tile on the board to modify camel movement
Move the camels
Each of the options will be very obvious once you crack the game open. There are some quirks to camel movement but I'll let you find that out for yourself!
By the time we got the board out, we'd had a little too much to drink to start reading rules.
We might try to have a game during work on the last day before we shut for work.
