Evening all,

I'm putting together a PC for a friend. The spec is as follows,

Epox 9NDA3+ mainboard, 3700+ San Diego CPU, 1GB Kingston PC3200 DDR RAM, XFX Geforce 6600GT graphics card, hdd, dvd rom etc. Everything is NEW except for the mainbaord.

Now I know the board works as I've tested it with different components and it works fine. Built with the kit above it will not post and gives all sorts of error codes. I changed the memory & PSU as I thought they were at fault to no avail. Finally I changed the grapics card and put in a Geforce 6200 and it posted fine. Swapped in the 660GT and same issues as before. The fan on the card spins up as if its working ok too. Any ideas other/tricks other than try it in another PC?

I have'nt had a new component arrive DOA before. Could be a first time I guess!?

Have you tried the 6600gt in another PC?

Does it have two power connectors I forget, I think it has a large one and a smaller one like on a floppy drive.

Yes tried the card in another PC and its not posting either. I've had a good look over it just incase there is another FDD type power plug that I've missed but there isn't. Back to the shop I guess!
