Four detectives, living in four different eras, find the body of the same murder victim in London’s Whitechapel. They soon come to realise their investigations have them central to a mysterious conspiracy spanning over a 150 years.

yup, 'Tommy' could be in a film about paint drying and probably make it interesting. just something so 'watchable' about him.
Agree with this. Recently watched boiling point and it would have been as dull as dishwater with another actor imo. On topic, looks good and not long until it drops.

Been watching this on and off, about half-way through so far - feels very DARK inspired, overall I'd say OK with a decent premise, ticks a lot of "woke" boxes which adds nothing - but largely those elements aren't intrusive or feel too out of place and/or they made the effort to work it into the story - a few bits felt out of place though.

Not doing anything for me personally, finding it a bit bland after 2 and a half episodes. The 'woke' elements add nothing and feel tacked on - particularly the 1890's sub story (spotted it as a check Box exercise after 30 seconds). For me they've bitten off more than they can chew with the 4 timelines, think it would have worked better with 3 for TV.

Tried watching the first episode of this. Found it unbearably woke and the colour palette of the usual blue wash with teal and orange drove me mad.

Gave up on it pretty quickly. Shame as I liked the premise.

Enjoyed it for the most part, if you like Dark and time jumping shows this scratches that itch. Not 100% on the ending but it's a limited series so no sequel bating required.

Binged it last weekend. Would give it 7.5

I guess these days if you don’t like something just call it woke. Lazy. All of these elements were credible, unless of course you don’t believe there should be/are/have been gays, non whites, disabled or females in the police :D bonkers.

Is it as complex as dark?
Sadly I had to give up on dark.

The difficult time lines + subs just meant I couldn't follow it.

1899 was fine though. I enjoyed that

It wasnt bad.

Yes they very self consiously ticked all the diversity boxes but that didnt impact the story that much - although did wonder if it had been made for the BBC or something.

Without wishing to spoil anything - the taxi driver at the end how and why ?

I reckon she went back to the 3 time zones and because the bomb didn't actually go off she wasn't crippled but knew about the future that doesn't happen

Or they thought it would be "hmmm" inducing

Not as complex as Dark but definitely inspired by, similar music motifs used as well, etc.

The woke/diversity elements for the most part they did at least take the time to develop into the story so they felt less shoehorned in but at the end of the day they were there because of reasons outside of the story so it doesn't really add anything but neither did it take anything away from it really aside from a couple of instances which stuck out awkwardly.

I've struggled to finish the show though despite watching the first few episodes back to back, great premise but once it starts to all come together it becomes a bit predictable and plodding.

I just binged this. Late to the party.

Interesting idea but execution wasn't good enough.

Just too many plot holes stupid things.
Not enough things tied up but at the same time somethings so over worked it felt like a child wrote it.

Sub plots of 2023s "the message" spread over all the time lines that really add nothing...... Diversity for the sake of it.
Felt a bit like a 8h doctor who episode, but not a good one.

It was alright, but, not really.....

The taxi driver simply shouldn't exist..... Given other things turning out....

Stupid...

Apparently it's some edgy ending to show that maybe everything isn't all "reset" and raspberry ripple is still there so... Oo errr season 2 can be milked ..... From a show designed to be a limited 8 episodes.

Yes by god it felt like a BBC production made with private money...
