Water pressure from the boiler is dropping to zero. Hydroelectric engineer came round looked at boiler, topped up water pressure. He says there is maybe a leak somewhere.

Problem is ive checked under floorboards hallway (lots of pipes), bathroom, bedrooms, kitchen AND no water is leaking....so i got no idea why the water pressure is going down.

The boiler still comes on when its at zero. Though it does sound a tad clunky :)

What should i do next? Get a plumber out and DIG up every square inch of the flat? :(

:D:D

hrrmmm about a day or 2 days to drop to zero. If i chuck the heating on full pelt for the majority of that 2 days it doesnt drop. Soon as i switch it off it drops.

i'll give it a shot today and report back....i really hope its something as simple as air..will save me money. Not bothered if its the boiler as its covered under a contract i have with hydroelectric (they said it wasnt the boiler)

need to find a spanner :D

We had a leak last winter, was caused by a faulty o-ring in the diverter. Whenever the hot water was turned on, it leaked (inside the boiler) and caused the pressure to drop. Did your plumber take the front off the boiler and look inside?

yep.

Unfortunately i dont have a radiator key.

No visibile bleed valve afaik :D Theres a thermostat thingy bottom right and bottom left theres a valve which is the one i assume i should untighten.

had a word with my neighbour. Dont need to bleed the radiators as the boiler (vokera) has some kind of system which does this automatically. (i had wondered why there didnt seem to be a bleed valve on the radiator)

NO! The one on the bottom left is the lockshield valve, leave it alone!

yes sir :D

So bit of a mystery..probably smt to do with the boiler no idea
Called hydroelectric again..theyre sending another engineer end of the week.

Heating and stuff still goes on its just a little bit more noiser/rattly than usual :D AND its apparently slower getting to the radiators according to my neighbour.
