erm, not really sure what to say other than i saw this on TV ages ago and installed it. i don't realy have a lcue what it is doing or what my input results show.
all i knew is that i would be helping out so i thought..what the hell, sure.

can't remember when i installed it but i was bored today and decided for the first time to click diff info on it.
there i noticed "teams" and looked into it further.

lo n behold, OcUK was there :D so i added myself to that team. hope it's ok as all i can gather is that it's all for a good cause.

i can see the results but it realy doesn't mean a thing to me?

it says i am on 50.22% (i guess that is completion of my part)

Credit = 20,736.00

what the hell is credit? sounds like we are being paid for it :p {opens wallet and grins}

welcome to the team - there are a few guys doing the BBC project so one will be along shortly I'm sure :)

sounds like you're doing well - these work units are pretty huge so being 50% through is a great achievement I know that much at least :p

as for credit I'm afraid it's just for competitiveness, money would be nice though eh? :D

Welcome to the team! :D

The more the merrier, our output seems to have declined recently, from the looks of it it's not just me that has had to turn a machine off recently. :mad:

ATM I only have a lowly 3000+ running about 8 hours a day, my other PC is running seti and the dual xeon is switched off in the attic at home. :mad:

OT but where has Beansprout disappeared to? He hasn't been on here for a while, his uploader has gone down and his output has gone down too. :confused:

You should get about 300 points for every model year completed :D , starts Dec 1920, every time it completes a year it dumps the results to Oxford and the points are awarded. There are 160 years for the complete model :mad: , its should complete a year in 10-20 hrs depending on your rig.

If you open BBC BOINC task manager, click the tab marked tasks you should see the project, click "show graphics" and it should display the world globe with all the relevant details. Hope this helps
