It possible to have two projects actually running at the same time on boinc? I can't seem to get the settings right. I am running Einstein, but have also joined the BBC experiment, but set up the prefs to only allow 1 proc, in the hope that while BBC is running, the other proc will still run an einstein unit. Instead, while BBC is running, one proc goes unused until BOINC switches back to Einstein. Is there a way to get them running together?

(when I say procs, I mean HT if that makes any difference!)

The best idea is to set both projects to 2 cpu.. as although it may not be doing both projects at the same time all the time ie 1 cpu for BBC and the other working on Einstien..

Overall over time it will have equated to whatever you have set your resource shares to. so it really doesn't matter if it sometimes uses both for one project or uses two for seperate projects. It all evens out.

The problem is, the "On multiprocessors, use at most" setting is under General, which applies to BOINC, rather than a particular project.

I would like a setting for projects to limit eg longer running ones to just 1 processor, as I don't seem to be getting the swapping around that I used to.

Maybe a function of running optimised clients.
