Boinc Queue?

Hi, I've just started crunching again, and started with seti@home. I've installed the boinc manager, but it keeps running out of work units, I'll leave it going overnight, and when I come to look at it in the morning its totally out of work and sat there idle.

I've set the cache to contain 2 days worth of work, but it seems to struggle to download the new work units, they keep stopping and saying "retry in xx:xx".

Is there another front end I can use?

Not tempted to relocate back to Rossendale then......maybe not

Berkeley's servers are up and down at the moment. Sometimes work goes out freely, other times it's like getting blood from a stone. Apart from perhaps increasing your cache size a bit more (3-4 days) and crossing your fingers there's not much else you can do, as there's no third-party software for caching WUs with BOINC like there was with SETI Classic.

Ahh well, I have set it to 5 days now, but its still not really downloading anything and when it does, it never gets above 3-5k/s.

Berkeley have been having network troubles for months, and seem unable to resolve them for various reasons. Best to let it get on with it and maybe pick a back-up project (set it to very low resource share so it only does work when you have none from elsewhere).

Well, I added MilkyWay to the projects and its done nothing but that since

Still cant download much from seti. They appear in the download list, but never start downloading.

Looks like Matt over in Borkeley has managed to remote start something as downloads are a go again all be it slowly

Downloads have just started for me too. I've had to spend all day today playing games becuase there was no SETI work - such a hard life

Won't have been Matt as I think he's still galavanting around the world with his merry band of musicians.

Stiil, glad it's fixed, and glad the router issues I mentioned earlier were actually fixed a few weeks ago.
