hi total noob question here so sorry.computer is taking about 2 minutes to start up and while its loading I'm getting the following message
checking media presence
media present
start pxe over ipv4

then it changes
checking media presence
media present
start pxe over ipv6
I'm sure its something to do with the bois,I tend not to get into anything like that on my computer,so if someone could explain to me in easy steps I would be most grateful

Sounds like the boot order is checking network boot before hard drive.

Go into the bios and set hard drive as first hour option

As bledd has said, you need to change your boot order, probably F11/F12 to get into it.

It's typically the DELete key or F2 or F10 to get into the BIOS.

Hi bledd its a MSI z87_g43 gaming when I press del I get into the bios,there is then six windows under headings oc,m_flash,oc profile,settings,hardware monitor and board explorer.where do I go from there bear in mind I have never been under the bonnet before edit notice there is a boot device priority bar at top of screen,is that where I should be looking

Yes, boot priority.

Without seeing pictures of what you can see, it's hard to guess.
