Hi guys,

Hoping someone here can help or advise.

I have recently replaced the Diverter Valve and Flow sensor on our Boiler.

Vaillant Ecotec Plus 831

...Noticed that there was water residue from around back of the water pump (Pics below)

So my question is ...how bad is this? Should I leave it? or should I get the pump changed ASAP?

Thanks

Thanks guys.

It looks like the part is just £12 (ish) so I might just change it.

Would I need to drain the boiler? or could I just isolate the boiler and change it?

Thanks

Both, iso valves are under the boiler to isolate the water from the boiler! The drain valves are under there too. To empty the boiler. Make sure you turn the power off first.

Thanks

But do I actually have to drain the boiler to change this part?

As I never had to drain to change the 'Flow Sensor'.?

Thanks
