Bolton to enter liquidation on wednesday

I'm sure someone will come in at the 11th hour but if not it's rather tragic, that's generally how deals are done. I'm surprised someone like Amir Khan isn't coming to the rescue he's a big Bolton Wanderers fan isn't he?

Or a Paddy McGuinness / Vernon Kay dream team.

Sad another club are going through this but as I said in the Bury thread football is now a business and some clubs are not being run within their means.

The problem is indeedn that clubs are not being run within their means. What needs to be considered is why and I am of the opinion this comes down to the gap in money between the Premier League and the rest of the country. The gap is so vast that it becomes very difficult for clubs to avoid chasing that "pot of gold over the rainbow". Clubs like Bolton have been in the Premier League up until very recently and will have grown accustomed to that level of income, it is very hard for them to adapt to comparative poverty.

As long as the gap is so large then clubs are going to keep on pushing themselves beyond their limits to cross over to the other side.
