It looks like Bones may be taken up for season seven. Personally I think its amazing that what was such a quirky little show has lasted so long. Personally I think its one of the consistantly most decent shows on television. It looks like it may be getting a spin of show called "The Locator" with the new main character being introduced in an episode in the coming weeks.

Got bored of it. The writing on it is awful and they very rarely follow up on any big cases or make much of a villain. I'll not even start on the apparent inability to pick a successor to Zack :\

Oh and the 'forced' comedic aspects of it.

I used to tell everyone about this show but now I really don't care =\

^^this.

The repeated "nerdness" of her character, spouting streams of semi-intelligible knowledge has stopped being funny.

And it doesn't have enough Stephen Fry.

I've noticed a few US series dropping plot arcs in favour of "baddie of the week" stories, NCIS is dreadful for it, they had a nice buildup to a main characters "believed to be" dead dad hanging around and some long term arms dealer villain, bang bang, main character dead, villain dead. End of storyline. :(

I've always really liked the show, nice and easy to watch, and 10 x better than all the reality TV they have showing all the time!

I still watch the show, but it would be nice if they got back to some extended story lines. I quite like the changing undergrad/assistants/whatever. Adds a bit of variety.

I also vote for more Stephen Fry!

I've never been a fan of episodic storylines, I've always been a proponent of strong storyline arcs, however I really do enjoy this show! I find the characters enjoyable, I think that the scriptwriting is generally of a good standard and it's very easy to sit down and watch. I've been watching later seasons of CSI (Vegas) side-by-side with this and by comparison I find that I miss the humour from Bones whilst watching it, and find CSI's attempt at humour very dry and flat, even though the content of the shows are somewhat similar.

CSI just comes across as a bunch of guys screaming "don't we look awesome!?". Bones has a funny side and doesn't take some things too seriously.

This is the one with the Vampire detective right?

Im not sure if you are referring to the series Moonlight or the fact that David Boreanaz played Angel.

To answer your question though, no Vampire detectives in Bones.
