Got LOADS of stone clip on my bonnet and grill. Whats the best and cheapest way to get rid of them or make the smaller? T-cut maybe? I know about these man and a van chipsaway things but, I drive a 306 worth £1500 (tops) so its just not worth it. But I would still like to get rid of some of them, there starting to annoy me!

Any avice people?

I remember seeing a guide somewhere on how to repair them yourself building the paint up in chips and then using 2000 grit paper over and around the chip to blend it in. Worked really well, but you have to be careful not to sand below the laquer. I will try and find it later and post a link.

You could try one of the Halfords kits with primer, paint and (possibly) lacquer, think their about £10. Fine for little dinks, but for larger chips the colour can be a bit uneven. They come with a couple of little doodahs so you can scrape away any rust and get down to the bare metal, then layer up until its the same level as the current paint.

Peugeot kits

I heard that for small chips you should apply the paint with a cocktail stick rather than the brush. It would take longer but give a much better finish.

apply paint, flat with 2000 grit, polish up area. Job done.

TCut won't help with stone chips apart from the polishing stage as you need to add paint to them to cover them up.

The Peugeot paint kits the actual peugeot OEM kits cost £4.40 out of the dealership (The paint is thicker and will match perfectly) , dont get ripped off at halfrauds.

best quick fix is get your base coat, mix it with a small amount of clear, touch in, let harden then flat 'n polish
t-cut won't do owt
