Book sync between Apple and Android

Hi guys,

I have just bought a one plus 3 this is my first Android phone so I've no clue on anything other than Apple

What I want to do is purchase books from the I book store on my ipad use a app that will allow me to sync book marks between devices.

The books I like are in avaliable on Apple unfortunately and not sure how to do the work around,

I don't think it's possible, it's things like this which makes me only buy media from cross platform sources as you get locked in.
