Ok, its the quarterly bonus time at the end of the month and I have a week off in November and am trying to figure out what to do in the week.

Seen as I have mates down in Kent, Im thinking that I pop down there to say hello, and whilst Im at it, I do a trip over to France to stock up for the xmas festivities.

Now the question is, is it still financially worth it doing the old booze cruise??? Is booze still cheep in France, or is it so negligable that the cost of the ferry trip would cancel it out?

Depends what your after....you can get some ridiculous deals over here most of the time....That said, I haven't ever done a booze cruise, so someone who has done it recently may have a more informative post response :)

In my opinion they arent really worth it anymore as the saving is quite small unless you really stock up.

That said we go maybe once or twice a year purely because its a good laugh.

IMO (last time I went to France was May) it's not worth it any more unless you're going to buy a shed load of low end French wine (which tbf is still ok to drink) - the £4.99 bottles here are about 3-5 euro in supermarkets over there. Spirits and beer are approximately the same price as here now :(

If you like "stubbies" then yes - still worth it.
Crates of that stuff go for silly amounts of money.
But when it comes to the bigger brands, to be honest wait until the likes of Tesco are running one of their promotions and it'll be just as cheap.

You can still get some good bargains on wine - locally produced stuff etc.

My mum (a smoker) forces us to drive 45mins down the road and into Belgium so she can get her cheap cigarettes as France is no cheaper on those either these days.
